Raised beds can create a fantastic feature for your garden, they can add style and personality to your home.
Follow our step-by-step instructions to create a raised bed that will last for many years to come.


Step 1
Mark out the area of your raised bed using some stakes and a string line. You should then dig out the area of bed to depth of 50 - 75mm.
Step 2
Next you will need to start laying out the bottom course of sleepers and fix them to the ground. You can use metal rods to do this.
Connectors must be added to each corner of the bed.


Step 3
Next you must continue to lay the sleepers using the method above until your achieve your desired height.
Step 4
Now that your raised bed has been built, you will need to add drainage. To add the drainage, fill the base with hardcore to a depth of 50-75mm. Next you can fill the rest of the bed with soil.
